The opening of the first public CNG fuel station in Brazoria County gained attention as a step toward erasing the carbon footprint. The next step is to convince businesses, local governments and residents to see its benefits. City officials and CNG Energy Partners aim to attract mostly commercial fleets and potentially local school districts looking to be eco-friendly as the main consumers of the new station on Medical Drive, which opened Feb. 25.
