UPS to build six CNG re-fueling stations, add 390 CNG-powered tractors, terminal trucks

UPS Inc. said today it will spend $90 million to build six additional compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in North America and add 390 CNG tractors and "terminal trucks" to its alternative-fuel fleet. Terminal trucks are vehicles that shuttle trailers around a yard. The six CNG stations will be in Ontario, Calif.; Orlando, Fla.; Salina, Kan.; Louisville, Ky.; Greensboro, N.C.; and Vancouver, B.C. The stations, which are expected to be operational by year's end, will bring to 37 the number of CNG fueling facilities in 15 U.S. states. Read more
